GTK3 application errors #123

Open idnsunset opened 4 years ago

idnsunset commented 4 years ago

Hi, I've been encountering the following error for all GTK3 applications with Matcha theme:

_gtk_css_image_get_concrete_size: assertion 'default_width > 0' failed

There is no problem with other themes such as Adwaita, Adapta. I've no idea about the exact cause, any advice for workaround?

OS: Debian 10 GTK3 version: 3.24 DE/WM: i3

Could you provide some more specific information about css code errors?, because the gtk theme is written in css code, so only the css code error prompts me to find the theme bug accurately

Sorry, i have no idea about how to debug css issues in Linux desktop environment.

Hello,

I have probably a same problem with Geany

My .xsession_errors is big with all lines (geany:3537): Gtk-CRITICAL : 11:26:32.314: _gtk_css_image_get_concrete_size: assertion 'default_width > 0' failed (geany:3537): Gtk-CRITICAL : 11:26:32.314: _gtk_css_image_get_surface: assertion 'surface_width > 0' failed

I use Xubuntu 20.10 (same problem with 20.04)

Geany is opened in my computer all day, and .xsession_errors is big at the end of the day.

I have the same problem on Quod Libet app

(io.github.quodlibet.QuodLibet:1207): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 04:26:29.898: _gtk_css_image_get_concrete_size: assertion 'default_width > 0' failed

OS: Debian 10 GTK: 3.24.5 DE: Xfce WM: Xfwm4 Theme: Matcha-dark-sea

I have the same errors in xsession, it occurs with different programs like caja, pluma and geany

Cinnamon If i use matcha theme on Cinnamon the errors are not there but on Mate they are. It appears to be a mate problem?

Mate: The errors disappear if i choose something else as controls in customize settings, like mate dark. so it can be narrowed down to something with controls in the matcha theme i guess

Despite the errors Matcha theme seems to work fine on Mate though

For the record i use Manjaro Cinnamon and Manjaro Mate for this test

Edit: this theme works fine in Manjaro Xfce
