Allow manually setting gnome-shell flavor #171

Allows setting the gnome-shell flavor, so no need for gnome shell to be installed. Useful for distribution where no full desktop environment is available when packages are built.

@vinceliuice ... this worked for my purpose, but when testing with some other systems I found an issue with that change, I create a new PR.
