System Specs: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS {Gnome}

Using the latest Mater code from Repo, Installed it by copying the SRC into ~/.Theme folder. Missing battery status icon. Screenshot from 2020-08-08 22-18-07

You should run ./install.sh to install the theme
