It's quite easy to add a separate bibliography in LaTeX with multibib
. I added a section to the README: https://github.com/vincentarelbundock/softbib#latex-document-with-two-bibliographies
It's not clear to me what the Google crawler actually does, but it looks like at least some of the cites it picks up come from OSF.io. For example, when I look up who cited my countrycode
package I see this:
Suppose I want to add a "Software References" section to a
.pdf
file generated from a.tex
file. In principle, it seems like I could usesoftbib()
to generate asoftbib.bib
file and then have LaTeX create a special references section that cites every entry in thatsoftbib.bib
file.But I cannot make this work in practice.
Related, would adding a separate "Software References" section to a pre-print be sufficient to for Google's crawler to pick up the cites?
