Dear Sara,
Sorry for this bug.
It was fixed lately (last week). The fix was uploaded to CTAN. Please download and install the latest version from CTAN (probably not yet available to MikTeX/TexLive package managers) and make me know if this solves you problem.
VBR, Vincent.

I've got this error message today: "newcommand* as robustness is handled now at top level infmtcount.sty, and we don’t need long macros. Concerned macros are @numberstringm-portuges, @numberstringfportuges, @numberstringmportuges, @numbers-tringfportuges, @ordinalstringmportuges, @ordinalstringfportuges, @ordi-nalstringmportuges, and @ordinalstringfportuge"
This happens in portuguese language, how can I fix this?

FYI, you can write to me also in French (my native language) if it is easier for you, and the bug you mention seems to be the same as bug 25.
I'm having the same error on sharelatex.com, but the document still renders somehow.
Any suggestions?
Thank you in advance.
Dear @nmptux , I have just written to ShareLaTeX using the contact form to indicate them that fmtcount needs update from CTAN. So the only thing I can tell you is to be patient and wait for them to make the update.
Dear Vincent.
Thanks for the update.
Regards.
Nelson.
Dear Nelson,
I got this answer from sharelatex.com:
Hi,
Sorry to hear of this and thanks for bringing it to our attention. Would you be able to send me the URL of a project affected by this bug, and I'll look into getting it fixed?
Best Regards, Michael, ShareLaTeX support.

@vincentb1 I have contacted Sharelatex and provided them the URL. Thank you.
Hi everyone,
I have had the same problem with fmtcount/portuguese in Sharelatex.
To solve it, I downloaded from http://mirrors.ctan.org/install/macros/latex/contrib/fmtcount.tds.zip, the files:
After that, I have put this files on the root directory of my sharelatex project and the problem was fixed. I generated the pdf without error.
ps. maybe isn't necessary all this files, but I have put everything.
Actually, only fc-portuges.def
is faulty, replacing it is sufficient.
I have no control on what Sharelatex uses, and indeed I am not a Sharelatex user.
The fmtcount
package has been updated on CTAN, but unfortunately I can't do anything for projects on Sharelatex that use the faulty version, the project managers need to do the update by themselves. Maybe Sharelatex has some package update manager to help this operation, I don't know…
Overleaf v2 was also with the same matter over portuguese language and uploading the file fc-portugues.def was enough to solve the problem. Thank you people.
Thank you very much, @vincentb1 and @luizsantos. Just had the same problem with Overleaf and uploading fc-portuges.def
solved the problem.
I've got this error message today in sharelatex:
