I'm not sure I see a use for this. All it does is switch the direction of the
forward and back buttons. You can just as well just change the direction you
browse in.

If using a clicker device (i.e. presentation remote), they are hardcoded to use
the spacebar to advance. Xee can pick this up and work well with remotes
including going to full-screen. Right now I have to rebind every time to
achieve a certain sorting order on the graphics.

Hmm, I wonder if the best solution to this would be to instead have a "procced
to next slide" function, that would use the slideshow ordering (which can be
reversed), and which would also use a slideshow transition effect, once I get
around to implementing those?

I've never used the slideshow function, but I would assume it auto(?) advances
the picture after a set period of time, which doesn't really allow for a
presentation (such as feedback and discussion in the audience).
Some clickers the option to go backwards by sending the "right arrow" key, some
do it by sending "backspace". Some even have left and right buttons but there's
almost no commonality. The only thing you can be certain of is the spacebar
(next).
The workaround is basically to use the quick look function in Finder, which can
proceed according to the sort order there, but quick look is no match for Xee's
capabilities and definitely not as fast. Full-screen on quick look also does
super weird things with the screen.
