First impression

Hi, First impression is that it's well thought out! I have a few comments/thoughts.

• What else do you see in the future except the obvious of viewing recipes in graph form. I remember you said you'd like to be able to compare recipes. What else do you think this can this be used for? I mean this might be important to plan for from the start as it will affect the level of detail in the nodes. (should each operation node have time and temp info for example)
• If this is to be used for any type of recipe (as I guess it will) some kind of recipe classifier info for the nodes might be useful to be able to filter nodes for specific types of recipes? I'm thinking this might be used for much more than food recipes, think of chemistry experiments, cosmetics, paint etc etc. For chemistry you will probably have very specific containers and tools that you will never use in food recipes for example.
• I don't see any layout information in the YAML file, what is the plan with layout?

As for using a javascript viewer/editor I don't mind that at all, I don't think I have done it before so we will have to figure that out.

• I mainly have ice cream and bread recipes in mind at the moment. You bring up a good question about what else might be needed. I'm opening a new issue to specifically discuss operation nodes. Right now time/temp info is intended to go into the "intensity" and "terminate" fields, but maybe those aren't the best fields.
• For tagging things appropriate for a particular kind of recipe, I think we could add a field to the schema so there is an array of tags for each tool, vessel, and maybe the other schemas.
• For layout, I originally had a css field in each node, thinking that could hold layout information in Cascading Style Sheet format. But then I wasn't happy forcing CSS on applications. So the data field is intended to be a free-form field for applications to use. But then applications can't easily share layout information. If you were going to implement layout of nodes in .net for example, how would you want to store layout info?
