audio calls on pigeon watch app? #4

hey @vincentneo, i just found your pigeon app for the apple watch! looks promising. does it support audio calls?

Hi @bjarthur, unfortunately no. Telegram calling requires the use of WebRTC library which does not support watchOS at this point.

I’m looking at porting it over, though it doesn’t seem like an easy task, especially with watchOS’s networking restrictions.

bummer :(. well, i'll keep my eye out for this being a feature in a future release of pigeon.

i asked because i'm looking for a way to talk with the android community without a cellular plan for the watch. i typically leave my phone at home so it's a bit of a challenge.

great to have folks developing watch apps by the way! wish apple didn't think of them as solely accessories to the iphone.
