Nic: I wish your UI had more instructions as to which buttons did what. I’d say overall, it was pretty fast to learn how to navigate around the app, but some instructional text could really speed up the learning curve. I’d say the most ambiguous part of the UI is what clicking on the map does. Intuitively, I’d probably think that clicking on the map is my form of entering the destination that I want to ultimately reach, not the point which I want to call an uber from. Perhaps it would make more sense for users to enter the location they want to reach, then it suggests a place to walk to that’s along that route.

Joseph: I wish your UI made it more clear what each component of the app was used for. I had no idea that there was a hamburger button at the top left corner. Also, I was confused what the pins for suggested locations was used for. Clicking on the map only gives directions to the destination, but I wish that it gave more information, such as exact fees.

Ashkon: I wish your UI had more instruction for new users. At first glance I had no idea what was going on. When I change the fields it's also hard to see what effect I had on the results of my search. Right now it still just seems like google maps but I know it deals with uber pricing. Some sort of display which tells me my costs/savings would be good.

Anish: I wish your UI had some kind of introduction or summary as to what your app does. When a user logs on, they have no idea as what the app is or does and clicking around does not tell them what they are doing. Also the hamburger section on the top left is not very visible and some users might not even realize it exists. One fix to that could be that when a user first visits the website, a modal pops up which shows the questions in the hamburger section. Another suggestion would also be a pop up tutorial in the beginning what and how to use the app.

Devon: I wish the UI made it clearer than you had to walk to a certain location, maybe indications of footprints? The pins may be better denoted as “pickup” locations to indicate that it is where it will be picked up at. Also, indicating the value someone will receive from walking the distance. Would be cool to have different companies included and other cost of travel, if possible.

April: I like the idea of the app and how it borrows the current Uber driver UI. However, because most users of Uber aren’t drivers, they probably aren’t familiar with how the driver app works. Therefore, I don’t think it’s very necessary to have the UI be similar, especially if it’s not intuitive. I think the gray colors are a bit confusing because it looks like the same color as the map itself so I would change the color to blue. I like the idea of being able to click on locations and see how much money you would save and how much time it would take to walk there. I would consider relabeling the legend to something like “surge price multiplier” instead of “surge percentage”

Claire: The idea of the application is nice - this is something that I would definitely use, but I am a little confused by the UI looking very similar to Uber and the hexagonal color mapped block. If you could somehow provide a way to provide some more clear instructions on why you chose hexagonal blocks, that would be really nice. I would also like to add that one of your teammates was especially condescending and rude throughout us giving feedback to one of my teammates. This is a place for review - whether or not you receive negative or positive feedback is meant to support your work - not to admonish it. I hope that in future weeks your team’s overall behavior is more open to criticism.

Max: I really like the idea of showing surge price around my current location. It would be really helpful if I can walk two blocks and save a lot of money. Based on the current model, I suggest to change the color a little bit, so that the color on the map matches the color of the map legend. Instead of grey to orange, it might be great from grey to red.
