Team K8 Feedback:

Ryan: I like how easy it is to tell what areas have a higher Uber multiplier. I wish that there were more space to see the map and that the step-by-step directions didn't get in the way (esp since you said it's meant to be on mobile, it's hard to see.)

Yacoub: I like how easy it is to interact with the preferences menu, it was very easy to find. I wish that there was a way to compare routes, instead of losing data as soon as you try exploring alternative routes.

Sandra: Nice, clean UI implementation so far. There are some functional issues though. I am not sure what is the point of having multiple pins, or why they route to each other instead of to suggested locations. The directions are also very unclear; I'm not sure what API you're using for it but I would consider switching to another one. When I change the parameters for the search, nothing happens but I guess that's something that you're working on, so looking forward to that. The search parameters are hidden and I was surprised to find that as a functionality so I would recommend having them as a pop-up when the user first visits the page or in a fixed nav bar.

Inkan: I really like the UI design it looks great! Separating the areas into white to red demonstrates the surge zones for sure. I think what you need to do to get done for next week is to show a tutorial on how to use the app as well as show how much more or less the user will pay in each area (like what you demonstrated in class, kinda like 8% cheaper or 10% higher). This way people can figure out the distance to the area versus the cost and they can determine which area they would like to go to more. For a tutorial, maybe when the app starts up there is a popup or an overlay talking about who you are and what the app does, and the user can read it and then close to use the app. You can make a small help button referring to that tutorial just in case they forgot as well. Overall you all did a great job!

Peter: The most important thing to finish by next week is: To indicate users on how to use the app or remind them of the basics like through starting app tutorial or a help slide down page. They should also indicate the users the price comparison in the route collapse page.

Andrew: The most important thing to finish by next week is to implement a help feature of some sort. I also feel that the font might be a bit small for mobile users so either bigger font or changing how the information is presented could help. Otherwise, the app is looking pretty cool so far! Great job

Austin: The most important thing to finish by next week is a streamlined tutorial that will help the user understand all the features and goals for the application (like knowing what the colored grids represent, the routing info, and the difference in pricing between the user pin and the selected area, for example). Since it’s included within the process from the beginning, the user will be more inclined to keep going, provided it’s not 10 minutes long or something. Additionally, I feel you could utilize the collapsible menus to make certain aspects more intuitive, like indicating a change in a feed if the user selected a different location.
