doesn't always open links in Chrome for iOS #52

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open Chrome for iOS and go to the demo page 
(http://swip.codylindley.com/popupWindowDemo.html)
2. tap the links in Example 1 or 3
3. the page will reload

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Instead of opening the link in a new tab, the page reloads

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
iOS 6.1.3; Chrome 28.0.1500.16

Please provide any additional information below.
Looks like a Chrome for iOS specific problem, because in Safari for iOS things 
work as expected.
