Bedrock "Outdated Server" #130

Open GreyBlackHat-05 opened 1 year ago

Server shows ping and player count, but when attempting to connect to the server displays this with no activity in the logs. image

vincss commented 1 year ago

Hi ! It's probably due to the library used that is out of date : https://github.com/JSPrismarine/JSPrismarine I will have a deeper look when I got some time.

vincss commented 1 year ago

Indeed, it's because the library is out of date for now.

WOLFST0N3 commented 1 year ago

Did this get updated yet? I have downloaded your latest version 1.3.1 and replaced my old files and it still says on bedrock "Outdated Server!". I ran the server without your program and it worked fine. Will this be fixed anytime soon? No rush, just wondering

vincss commented 1 year ago

Hi, I don't know like I said it depends on the library that I'm using, and no news from their side in a while https://github.com/JSPrismarine/JSPrismarine/tags

I am facing the same problem with Geyser and SleepingServerStarter. And as of now, I haven't found any decent solution. The only thing that seems to work is to connect to the Geyser Public server (geyserconnect.net) from bedrock and then entering the ip of the java server in the custom servers list. Then from there, you can wake up the server and then join back from the servers screen.

vincss commented 1 year ago

You can always use the web-gui to wake it up from a smartphone.

And how @vincss ? I have set the webserver Port, but my Phone can’t find it

vincss commented 1 year ago

Yes, you have to set the webPort it's in the Readme. But I guess that you cannot read as you cannot be polite.

SkyKingPX commented 1 year ago

Why „ But I guess that you cannot read as you cannot be polite.“? The one who isn’t polite now is you.

From where do you think I know, that I should set the webPort?! Definitely not from you!

AnonyMouse97 commented 1 year ago

There's a file called "readme", I guess it's quite explicit @SkyKingPX

SkyKingPX commented 1 year ago

@AnonyMouse97 I just said, that I read it. Even the Wiki

SkyKingPX commented 1 year ago

And what now @vincss ?

vincss commented 1 year ago

Now you use your web browser and go to the right url :-) From your local pc where the server is hosted it should be : http://localhost:8080 Where 8080 is your webPort.

SkyKingPX commented 1 year ago

And why it doesn’t work with the public IP?

vincss commented 1 year ago

I guess that you didn't forward the right port on your router... But that not linked to this piece of software.

SkyKingPX commented 1 year ago

I did because I have Minecraft servers, other Servers and Webservers @vincss

Waiting for https://github.com/JSPrismarine/JSPrismarine/issues/1016

general network questions are also completely unrelated, learn to fix things for yourself instead of begging for help

SkyKingPX commented 6 months ago

First: You are literally here to help Second: Don’t tell me what to do Third: I am not begging.

you see we are here in vincss/mcsleepingserverstarter and not in ama/OfftopicQuestionsBecauseIamToLazyToGoogleIt
