Roblox crashing when opening a game

What problem did you encounter?

for some reason when i open a game, roblox just crashes, when i try to open a game within the app it also crashes

it is happening here too, as soon as play is clicked on an experience the game closes, last two messages on console are:

nativeAppBridgeV2StartGameWithParam:
nativeAppBridgeV2StartGameWithParam: Same native window 0x10. No need to do anything!

Same for me Using NixOS Tried to reinstall; Unknown if it's an apk problem. Reinstalling with the --bootstrap flag does not resolve it for me.

Also same problem. Click play on anything and it just crashes. Wont start back up, have to pkill flatpak to get it to start up again but it still crashes whenever I click play on any game.

And I can confirm its that error from the comment above me. Just ran it in a terminal and I got: nativeAppBridgeV2StartGameWithParam: nativeAppBridgeV2StartGameWithParam:Same native window 0x10. No need to do anything! Edit: I swear if Roblox just blocked Sober.. Though, given its a crash, it hopefully probably isnt.

Hm, Roblox released a new Android app version according to Google Play Store (but its just the date, so i'm not sure, if anybody knows how to get more info on when a google play store app was released please check)

When installing Sober without keeping data you can hit upload your own APK file.. I'm gonna try it, but it'll most likely not work because I think Roblox blocks old versions

Edit: the link you gave gives an apkm file which is useless, I will use ApkPure instead

I think we just need to wait on Sober to be updated to support the latest roblox version. probably no other way around it.

Uninstall Sober without keeping data, reinstall it, hit Continue, then hit Download Manually

Edit: Didn't work. I will try installing 2.642.635 which Sober is referring to.

Too bad, we don't know how the logic behind unpacking and installing the APK used by Sober works, we'll have to wait for an official solution.

also even if roblox blocked sober, its most likely still playable with waydroid and stuff (except its way less smooth and more laggy)

Huh, someone just opened another issue on the Discord, showing this error instead, it's probably connected in some way. It says "Problem receiving data" which probably means, Sober is blocked server-side. GGs, if that's the case. But that's just a theory. A Roblox theory.

Edit: In the Discord they're also thinking that it's blocked and the game is crashing due to bad jni hooks. No idea what that means but it sounds smart so I will roll with it

I guess, due to API requests, Roblox sends the code version to its servers, and because it is in an older version, it is not accepted, forcing it to update (theory?)

Well, the "Bro, please update, we need to make money" kinda text is the only 'standard android dialog box' thing that I could really tell is in Roblox. So maybe Sober just isn't made to show those and crashes, but again, that's just a theory; A Sober theory.
