I have contributed to many Open Source projects as a contributor but being a mentor in an Open Source program is something different. Thus, I wrote an article sharing my mentorship experience all along the 3 months of GirlrScript Summer Of Code 2020. I have also packed a bit of advice for the participants to make contributions that really count in an Open Source project.

Feedbacks/suggestions are most welcome! โค๏ธ
Feel free to raise feature requests there - would love to take up the issues.
PS: RGSoC/GSSoC results to be out soon! Post the results, we'll resume our work for Water Monitoring System.
Stay tuned:)

I was excited about the next phase after the great 3 months of learning, mentoring and growing with the participantshttps://medium.com/girlscript-summer-of-code/gssoc-2020-a-journey-to-explore-the-unexplored-f25a6ade8288 & mentorshttps://medium.com/girlscript-summer-of-code/girlscript-summer-of-code-2020-mentor-experience-28daec399b1e of GSSoChttps://www.gssoc.tech/ - #15https://github.com/vinitshahdeo/Water-Monitoring-System/issues/15
I'm sorry to inform that RGSoC has closed its doors but the doors for contributing to this project is always open! I can assure you that the only difference you would see here is that there won't be any kind of stipend, but we'll continue working towards the vision of this project the same way; from July 1st onwards.

Hey @vinitshahdeo, i would like to contribute to the project. i have had previous experience working with my personal projects on IOT. i have experience with Python, Firebase, NodeMCU and Arduino. i am open to other opportunities to contribute in the project too. i have tried to implement this system at my home too, and would love to discuss the design process too. P.S This is my first time contributing to an open source project. it would be great if someone can guide me through the collaboration process. Although i have had experience with basic git workflow interning at my current company.
Greetings sir, My team(TheSmasshers) is super enthusiastic about this project and willing to contribute to this. Monisha Ranjan 3rd Year, CSE Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati

Dear Friend, ๐
Hoping this letter finds you well and safe; you, your family and your loved ones!
๐ท ๐ช ๐
Together we are facing an unprecedented time that is affecting all of our community, our families, and our way of life. As the nation battles to curb the impact of the coronavirus, our one and only responsibility right now is to stay safe and practice social distancing.
Social Distancing and dealing with Coronavirus boredom is getting really tough. Now that India is under complete lockdown, isolation boredom is making normal people do crazy things. If you're out of ideas on how to keep your mind occupied too, checkout other open-source projects, learn something which you always wanna learn but didnโt get time so far. This is the time; turn your self-isolation into self-improvement.
Two weeks ago, I have hacked COVID-19 Tracker. Do check out this and consider leaving a star here (to be open-sourced soon). โญ ๐ โญ
I thank all of you for your contributions to stepping up this project towards its goals and mission. Special thanks to all the mentors for your constructive feedback and suggestions - @ShreyaAnand @amaaniqbal @jainpawan21 @PragatiVerma18 @ArpitKotecha @ramanaditya @YashMeh @Manvityagi

We will bounce back from this pandemic together and no matter what, we will always keep open-sourcing and making the open-source space more and more awesome.
Thank you for your continued support. I am so grateful to each of you. โค๏ธ
