Bug in running gnome-twitch after I installed player backends #404

I use Manjaro so I installed gnome-twitch-git using aur repositories. It ran fine but later when I had to install player backend, and come around to using it, it always shows "Something went wrong: Unable to open VOD." When I click on details it shows:

Unable to update oauth info because: Unable to read JSON member with name 'user_id' because: The member “user_id” is not defined in the object at the current position.

When you look at Chat section, it shows well, what you can see. I am new to this bug reporting stuff so I apologise if I did something wrong here or didn't mention something.

P.S. I know that this project's been sorta dead but I hope this helps at some point in the future.

@NerdistRay this project uses the old deprecated Twitch API which causes the errors. I have started working on a new GTK Twitch player. The basics work but it's far from done. olback/gnome-twitch-2.
