Option to include full pace lap in highlight/full-race replays #81

Very often on rolling starts during the start of the race, before the green light, and ESPECIALLY when there is a lot of vehicles on the grid, there is all sorts of incidents, and carnage, and otherwise interesting .... action that is happening behind the leader.

Currently iRRD doesn't bother with any of the pace lap, or anything earlier than a few seconds before the green flag drops, and even then, it's focusing on ONLY the leader, however some of the action that's happening in the pace lap, dictates many people's entire races (some being seriously crippled, or even out of the race entirely, to others gaining huge jumps in position due to lucking out and not getting caught up in something.

Quite a few tracks have shortened pace laps for the start of the event, however there are still many that do full-lap pace laps to start the race, so the current method of race "starts" that the program uses, can miss anywhere up to 6-7 full minutes of very close, door-to-door mayhem, including rollovers, off-tracks, pile-ups, and other multitudes of potentially highlight worthy footage. (EG: Either of Virginia International Raceway's Grand layouts take over 6 minutes from when the pace car starts moving, until the green flag flies, and most of the track is tight, twisty, and convoluted, thus even the PACE car itself goes off-track multiple times, once even going 4 tires off!, or Long Beach's final hairpin, where slight contact between vehicles can result in multiple rollovers, and complete standstills if it doesn't go right!)

I don't know if iRRD can detect when the pace car starts moving to be able to capture the entire pace lap or not, however if it cannot, then an option may be that instead of separately capturing some "Scenic" footage for overlaying the qualification information onto, it simply starts the replay as cars are starting to grid up, and overlay's the qualy information over while the grid is forming, and it might even give some time to add a few more bits of information at that time, like a quick weather report, track overview, and/or other little things then as the grid starts moving, it fades out and shows what's most interesting during the pace lap, without having the forced "focus on leader"

EDIT I have zero idea how to set a label for this....otherwise I'd label it as a feature request or something along those lines ;)

Thanks for the suggestion - I reckon something can be done - but as I have so many enhancements at the moment - seriously this might be 12 months away!

I can only imagine how much stuff you have to work on. That's why I figured I'd just suggest it, and if/when it finally comes about, then all the better! :)
