Nim On their profile page, we should probably allow them to manually start a cooldown for GMC/ET for characters which will “smartly” apply the cooldown to other affected characters. Also inform user and take out characters affected by the manual trigger of cooldown from events. This is for when people attend GMC with other groups and then lose track.
Adding a cooldown makes sense, so that’s a good idea. Deleting a cooldown is a bit weird though. If you are in a CLOSED event (ET/GMC) then you are simply forced to have a cooldown. So every run we are aware of, should be auto calculated. Leaves us indeed with the runs outside of the system. I assume (correct me if you don’t follow my opinion) that you only set a manual cooldown when the run is over and you are locked out. This implies the lockout stands ingame, whether or not you delete it from the interface. Which is more or less the perfect reason to never manually allow someone to undo his cooldown. Allowing people to get rid of their own cooldowns might result in people just getting rid of it to see more Events for that character. Definitely leave your opinion again, cause it feels like my opinion is slightly off.

Nah no removal of cooldowns. Only to initiate a manual cooldown for ET/GMC. As you said, if they follow only our events, our system will work perfect for them. The addition was to assist in people who run our events and external events in managing their cooldowns properly.
This way we can keep track of people’s accounts associated with the guild. But moreso we can have the application think for these people. We can hint them that some classes are needed, we can narrow down their searches based on the classes they fill in. Suggestions: Allow members to add characters to their Member’s management page. Characters will be stored in the db with certain properties like name, class, ET lockout time, GMC lockout time, perhaps even a base score, a ‘how likely will you play this class’ score. Having the actual characters in there rather than the classes they play, allows people to have 2-3 champs, and cycle through them without hitting our ‘locked out’ windows constantly.
