implementing the discussion in https://github.com/virtee/sev-snp-measure/issues/50#issuecomment-2130406004

The issue was closed with a corresponding pull request and I encountered it in my work as well

Thank you for your contribution @Garandor . However, the same patch has been suggested in #53 ; while submitted a few minutes after this PR, #53 contains tests cases and some docs, so I'm going to continue there. Feel free to comment and join the discussion in #53 and test it.

Hopefully next time your PR will be accepted!
