Target Audience:

Undergraduate students of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering branches. Post-graduate students of Process Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Production Engineering.

Introduction

The "Sensor Modelling and Simulation Lab" deals with working principles, factors governing performance, and identifying static and dynamic characteristics of all major sensors. The first principle model which is running in the background will represent ideal characteristics. The configurable parameter will give an insight to students about the deviations from standard or expected field application.

Objective

  1. Characterise the sensor under test
  2. Identify and plot the static and dynamic characteristics of the sensor.
  3. Select proper material of construction and allied components for specific application of a sensor.
