Add support for focus peaking in the EVF #7

This camera is useless for both filming & still photography using manual lenses (e.g. a nice prime like Voigtlaender Nokton) because the viewfinder is too small and resolution too limited to judge which area is in focus. Focus peaking could solve this. Otherwise one has to attach an external monitor which make the whole form factor of the camera moot.

hey Moritz - I would even be tempted to retrofit a better resolution screen, with a less reflective surface. @virtualritz - I tried connecting to my Atomos Ninja Flame, the focus peaking is very useful, however, even using an external recorder/monitor the recording is limited to the 1080p hdmi signal. This HDMI output really needs to go to 4K DCI, or at least UHD - regards Carlos

@virtualritz The only other option is to use a Aputure DEC to attach to the M43 mount and then attach a Canon EF-S (best to use an IS lens with STM (quiet stepper motor)) - This should allow you to control the focus remotely & crucially set A & B focus min & max points, as well as remotely adjust aperture. This is of course only possible with non Manual lens.

If using manual lens, you can use Zhiyun Follow Focus system with the Motion Sensor Remote. But this again defeats the form factor of the Z Cam E1.

I will continue my quest to making this camera useable ! Please update with any progress

I think this camera is dead. If we had access to firmware source etc. there would be a chance with joint effort to salvage this hardware – but as it stands ... :( Buying a used Panasonic GH4 is a better option, I think. Unless the form factor matters, ofc.

If you know anyone who wants to buy a Z Cam E1, let me know. I'm selling mine.
