Mandrill only being used for newsletter #27

Is it possible to get Mandrill in on the transactional emails as well? Signup confirmations may risk getting blocked if we don't use an SMTP relay service.

Are you thinking about MODX's emailing system? You can use mandrill for it, all emails from the website are relayed by mandrill. What you need to do is changing the settings on System Settings. I can explain that to you, if that is your concern.

This newsletter system is a bulk email system, so I'm not sure transactional email fits with this.

Transactional is what Mandrill excels at, but I meant for the emails sent when someone signs up. Never tried to set up SMTP on MODX, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
