Controller window too big

That is too vague.  What do you mean "Controller window too big"

Which Controller?  What Core are you using?  What are you playing?

Did you know? You can resize a window if it's bigger than you like.

You could also consider telling your taskbar not to be so huge if you're going 
to use a tiny resolution monitor. This window may have even been designed to 
fit in 768 pixels, but there's nothing we can do if you have an absurdly large 
taskbar.
