item editor forms and current selection #30

option to decouple target of form from current selection

target of form is fixed at time of creation and does not change when user 
changes selection

perhaps this option is invoked by checkbox in the form, or by the way in which 
form was created (separate context menu item for example)

display of form should make it very clear which kind of form this is (coupled 
or not)
