Using the IC2 Ore Washing Plant, IC2 Thermal Centrifuge, and TiCon Smeltery allows for uranium ore to be multiplied into 12 ingots, resulting in an extremely large net gain (Would have to double check, but I think it's -$120 per ore and +$40 per ingot, meaning the full scheme nets to a +$360 per ore, ignoring energy/smeltery fluid costs) from an early game source that is extremely easy to automate.
Several options exist to fix this:
Increase buy price of Uranium Ore
Decrease sell price of Uranium Ingot
Remove Uranium Ore/Ingot from shop
Remove IC2 U-238 -> Molten Uranium Smeltery recipe
(I forget if this is important, but I distinctly recall casting into basins, getting the uranium block, then using the recipe from uranium block -> 9 uranium ingots to maximize money; I used a factorizer when automating it)
