Start regular meetings with the VisIt community.

This ticket is to track thoughts on starting regular meetings with the VisIt community.

Here are my thoughts: 1) We should probably separate meetings with the VisIt developers and the VisIt users. The two biggest issues to decide is the frequency and the content. If we decide to do them on a more frequent basis we should come up with a set up topics for several meetings and then keep adding to the list so that we always have a few meetings worth of topics lined up. 2) I think we should come up with topics for the meetings and then advertise them in advance leaving a little bit of free time at the end for unstructured interactions.

Here are a couple of topics I can come up with.

• Developers - Discuss the developer documentation and our processes and go over it.
• Developers - Discuss upcoming process improvements, collect thoughts on process improvements
• Developers - At every meeting discuss the status of upcoming releases.
• Users - Ascent and how to use it.
• Users - Upcoming plans, solicit feedback on features and bug fixes.
• Users - We could go over some of our tutorial content.
