visnkmr / nokeyboard

A revolutionary keyboard that allows you to hide your keyboard when not required. Also useful if you use bluetooth keyboard or just want to scroll through text on device without the keyboard popping up.

Hey,

I regret to inform you that our recent app updates on Google Play have encountered rejection due to policy issues concerning app icon sizes for Android TV. The specific problem has been outlined here.

Should you have any connections within Google's Play Store teams, we kindly request your assistance. Please reach out to us on Github if you can offer any insights or assistance in resolving this matter. In the interim, we will continue to submit updates periodically to Google play for review.

For uninterrupted access to the latest versions of our apps, they are readily available on our appstore.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as we endeavor to improve your app experience.

Thank you.

I don't understand why a keyboard needs to know the date, what's it using SSL for?

visnkmr commented 4 months ago

Date check was put in place to ensure all are running on latest version of the app; doesn't require internet, uses inbuilt API; being a free app we had to incentivise updating the app in some way.

oscarshaitan commented 4 months ago

if you use an API you can simple save the most recent version and compare, I usually do that with my apps a easy way is using firebase, no date required.

EntranceJew commented 4 months ago

but the app cannot be updated because you didn't publish a new version

@visnkmr : Hi, no keyboard need update, please.

Firebase would require the app to have internet access, which would deter privacy conscious users from using the app. I needed a solution that worked 100℅ offline.
