Define strategy and then remove/deprecate unused components #1984

Study the components which are no longer needed or need to be deprecated and take steps accordingly. This task is for the analysis only. Actual deprecation needs to be handled in individual tickets

We're doing this activity on individual basis and a couple of components have already been deprecated. We'll keep observing for each component and deprecate if required. Closing this task as it's not required to define any strategy at this moment.
