It would still append it as new messages.

I thought about reversed order, but there are two arguments against:

1. When you click to GitHub notification you are automatically navigated you to the latest unread comment. Doesn't this work for you?
2. People get used that GitHub comments are added to the end and can be confused with reversed order.

Also It would be great, if the weekly issues would link the daily and vice versa, for faster navigation.

Sounds good, I will think how to make it.

It would replace the current one in the top post, so it is just the recent additions, no reverse-ordered list.

Maybe language:python labels could be a simple way. Or just edit them in your manual top post, as link.
