What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use VNC for local connection (chrooted environment)
2. Choose option 24-bit color 
3. In a slow machine, window/menu refresh is visibly slow.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I think that offering 16-bit (65536) colors would be a good speed/quality 
compromise, since refresh is not so slow with 256 colors.

What version of android-vnc-viewer are you using?

0.5.0 (Build 203 - 20110327)

Which VNC server/version are you using?  On which platform?

tightvnc, debian squeeze, arm chrooted port running on android

What is the size of the desktop you are trying to access (i.e. 1024x768,
1920x1080...)?

800x480

What device are you using?

Android Netbook: Airis Kira N7000

Are you using a custom ROM?  If so, which?
