Internet access without password #62

When I start BrewManiacEx 0.4.7, it accesses my home WLAN and gets an IP address right away (usually, 192.168.10.116). I thought that in order to achieve this, I would, first, have to write my AP name and password somewhere. That's what people need when they visit and want to use my WLAN. And that is what I have done myself in previous ESP8266 experiments.

But BrewManiacEx doesn't seem to need a password (or even an AP name). How come? Is my WLAN not protected, after all?

ESP8266 saves network credentials somewhere that survives through reflashing.
