Black screen when using Virtual Desktop to run QuakeVR on an Intel HD Graphics 4400 #52

Recently I've been using Virtual Desktop to run PCVR games like H3VR and such. However, while the headset movement is definitely shown to be tracked on my desktop, in the VR view, all I can see is a black void when playing QuakeVR. There's no options for toning down the graphics, and of all the cases I have seen of other people playing QuakeVR with VD, their game works fine.

I'll just make a bold assumption and say that it's because of your graphics. Please also check if you can run this game without Virtual Desktop. My second assumption is that your graphics can't handle both of them at the same time.

I was having the same issue. My laptop has 2 graphic cards: Intel HD graphics, and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design. I had to go to NVIDIA's control panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> Select quakevr from the programs list -> Select the preferred graphics processor for this program: High-performance NVIDIA processor.

Now I'm facing other issues tho :/ but I'm gonna explain in another item.
