Hi there

Thank you for your message. v1.1.6 installs on the SD card by default. Can you perhaps try to move this to the phone memory, and then try the same steps you indicated

Here is how to get to the settings Home -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Corporate Addressbook -> Move to phone

Thanks Vivek

Hmm this is quite weird, because I have never seen this happen and neither has this ever been reported. Can you perhaps try to remove the app and install the latest from the market?

Just try this. Uninst then reinst last version from market... Still no preference saved. Also tried after moving app to phone memory as suggested: still no preference saved. Where is it supposed to be saved? BTW: this app is very usefull, and I would like to thank you for this dev!

The preference gets saved automatically on the device. The preference saving is handled by Android itself, and I did not do anything specific for this. I am not sure why this is failing in your case. I will look into this a little more and get back to you.

GREAT news !! After having a look on the source code, even if I am really a beginner in Android dev, I was not able to findout where the issue could be. I had an issue related to the access rights for the /dbdata/database/.../.xml file: the owner was not your app... Thus, it was impossible to get access to read/write/rename the xml file where preferences are saved! I have uninstaled (again) the app, used a rooted file explorer to delete net.vivekiyer.GAL directory, and reinstall. Now it works! So sorry to have disturbed you !!

Awesome! Thank you for following up with me and letting me know what the issue was. Do you by any chance know what caused this corruption? And thank you for using my app and taking the time to provide feedback.

Regards Vivek
