KNOWLEDGE: Points: 3.6-4.0 Reason: 3.9 Did not go into enough depth about how the facial recognition program works. Other than that good understanding of databases and AI model.
VALUE: Points: 0.6-1.0 Reason: 0.8 Requires facial expressions which user would probably already be aware of. Probably more useful to just ask ChatGPT. Therapy is important though.

WOW FACTOR: AMAZING Reason: This was the coolest project I saw by far, cool that you can ad custom quotes. Cool database to reply in sad, happy, cool library. This was really relevant to AI and really awesome!!

Reason: 3.9 points. Especially considering that I'm a CSP student, the concept is highly advanced to me and I believe it's a unique take on therapy in relation to tracking emotion (facial expressions).
KNOWLEDGE:

Reason: 3.85 points. Although I left not knowing that much info about how its background/processes, it seemed that the presenter had a lot of knowledge regarding the project and how it worked.
VALUE: Points: 0.6-1.0 Reason: 0.9 points. Although the output stating the user's emotion isn't that useful itself, facial tracking in general is a very useful concept that can be adapted to different branches of technology.
WOW FACTOR: Reason: 0.9 points. Facial tracking itself along with getting feedback and providing an output based on a facial expression is really cool, especially for a high school computer science student.

1 year ago HOOK: Points: 4 Reason: Really interesting, the front page was also eye-catching with bright colors and the people already testing the code looked amazed. The use of the nodes on the face and tracking the person's features to recognize emotions was really cool and looked very advanced.
KNOWLEDGE: Points: 4.0 Reason: Used a JS database called DER, read facial expressions from 30 different nodes on the face, and used AI to determine the emotion the person was feeling based on the placement of the nodes.
VALUE: Points: 0.9 Reason: Helps people readily access an online therapist by reading emotions. given the recent trends in mental health, it's very relevant.
WOW FACTOR: 4 Reason: Really cool, really entertaining to test and watch other people play with. Absolutely amazing.

By detecting the user's facial expression, Your Pocket Therapist returns a quote depending on your mood to hopefully make you feel better. Additionally, we hope that our AI's positivity influences you, and you share your own quotes on our quotes page where you can post personal and custom advice.
