vitroAnnotations_es.n3 is missing #3616

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I just noticed that the reason for https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/issues/3614 is a bit bigger. vitroAnnotations_es.n3 seems to be completely missing. See https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO-languages/tree/main/es/home/src/main/resources/rdf/i18n/es/tbox/firsttime

in comparison to

Describe the solution you'd like For native speakers ideally with some VIVO experience:

  1. copy the file from https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO-languages/blob/fa0be23c91261ee57b030bd7c9739a3f0bbb92e4/en_US/home/src/main/resources/rdf/i18n/en_US/tbox/firsttime/vitroAnnotations_en_US.n3
  2. Search and replace @en-US with @es
  3. Translate all the english phrases to spanish.
  4. Make a pull request.

VIVO's Spanish translation is its oldest, and I believe suffers from some shortcuts that were taken when it was first created by running the various i18n strings through Google Translate. The annotations were missing back then... I suppose they were overlooked or ignored since they are never public facing. https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/tree/rel-1.8.1/languages/es_GO/rdf/tbox/firsttime

I asked in the slack channel vivo-iberoamericana, if there is a native speaker who can solve this. Should be doable in a few hourse, I guess. And even an automatic translation might be better than nothing?

SIGMA has been working on a revised and improved version of the Spanish translation of VIVO, we are currently reviewing the final details and will soon make it available to the community, hope this can help.

vitroAnnotations is also missing for Portuguese (Brasil). VIVO-languages has been archived. This change should be done in VIVO 1.14.0 (branch i18n-redesign at the moment)
