(from @nitanagdeote ):
I am checking the viz, it's coding live. The top most viz on home page is sometime live.
Idea: Live Mode-Viz is getting created right now
Another idea live editor:
Like if curran or someone else's edior can be viewed from home page while they are working.
Totally agree that this is the direction we are heading. To break it down into subtasks (for home page only at first):
Make the home page query results update in real time (currently the set of results is static, while the info displayed for each viz is real-time enabled).
Make the thumbnail update in real-time (meaning, whenever a new thumbnail gets generated, the page should change to show the latest one). This should be possible, as the thumbnails are already stored using ShareDB, so we could either add a new subscription to these documents, or maybe trigger a thumbnail image refresh based on the timestamp of the thumbnail update time stored in the VizInfo documents.
Alternative approach: use iFrames scaled down that are actually running the programs. This would be better than thumbnails as it would update more frequently, and you'd see animations if there are any. This is what happens now on the viz page, but imagine the same could happen for viz previews (the thumbnail being an iFrame rather than an image).
