These are the changes made after the latest deployment to production.

There is still work to be done here, as the product is unstable.

The plan:

Forget about upgrading dependencies - this is a major headache for minor gains.
Try to isolate substantive improvements and add them separately.
Merge this PR and deploy to production once it's stable - then modifications to vizhub.com will again be in reach.

QA: It's failing when you edit text.

This only happens in production (after building). It does not happen during development.
