initial support for 1D string arrays #3

Hi, here is a small patch to add support of one-dimensional H5T_STRING arrays. Let me know what you think

we should always bump version when changing source. i will do this. also please submit PR with your identifying info in DESCRIPTION with role "aut"

Thanks! I guess I'll need to add H5T_COMPOUND support, will add the author info there.
