Hi there.

When I am on a teleconference, I would like to record both sound, from my micro and from speackers.

It is not possible right now, the options are mutually exclusive.

Is it possible to allow check both options?

Thanks very much.

Regards.

Fernando.

I do have both options if I understand what you are suggesting. I am on Manjaro Linux.

However, when I use both, and the webcam microphone is used for my own voice, the recorded audio gets overwhelmed in volume and cuts out. It is not understandable it is so bad, rendering the recording useless.

I suspect there is a balancing issue that needs to take place. I will create a New Issue for it in case there is an easy solution or for me o find I am just doing something wrong!

I use this app all of the time now and love it. Thank you!

Here is a picture of the audio drop outs.

It is not possible right now, the options are mutually exclusive.

Only one device can be selected at the moment. A solution is being looked for.

Hi, Same problem for me, I would like to record audio from both the microphone and speakers. Thanks for this software anyway. Regards, Mathieu

Was going to open a new issue until I found this. I have the same cut-audio problem when I select to record both the microphone and Monitor of the output device. The audio gets cut out in many places, rendering the screencast useless. image

"PCM2902" is your microphone?

What do "Monitor of PCM2902"? Streams this directly to the speakers?

djnotes commented 2 years ago

pcm2902 is actually my soundcard to which the microphone is connected. It also has audio output that I hear with my headphones. So, yes both of them are taking about the same device, one is audio input. The other (monitor) is output.I'm not sure if "monitor of pcm..." streams directly to my speakers (headphones). In fact I checked its tick to record the audio from a sound file I played in the screencast.

On WIndows 10, when I use DirectSound I can have multiple selections:

image But the selections are limited for some reason.

But when I select WASAPI, there can be only one image The selections are mutually exclusive, when you select one, the previous is unchecked.

Same behavior in VokoScreen 3.3. On Linux/KDE it is working fine...

vkohaupt commented 1 year ago

With the new beta-02 it is now possible to record from multiple audio devices under WASAPI. Please test it and report back. https://linuxecke.volkoh.de/vokoscreen/vokoscreen-download.html
