@vkohaupt When are the packages updated for Linux? I use Manjaro which is based on Arch Linux and do you know when they update the package? Could you update the package or how does it goes? I'm just curious.

Also thank you for your great work! I really like the recording app, I really like the simplicity!

Linux packages are updated by the distributions. I have no control over it.

Thank you for your reply. Do you know who I need to contact?

EDIT: I found it: https://archlinux.org/packages/community/x86_64/vokoscreen/ Looks like I need to contact Balló György at ballogyor+arch@gmail.com I will mail him this weekend.

I downloaded the video and watched and listened to it several times. I hear that the microphone setting is overloaded. That means you should turn down the volume control for the microphone.

Pulseaudio has volume control for the program and for the device, see the pictures for my computer with opensuse 15.3 and KDE The first picture shows the device microphone(USB-Webcam) with a volume setting of 75% And the second picture shows the program vokoscreen with a volume setting of 100% I get very good results with these settings.

@vkohaupt I don't think that's the problem, because when I select 1 microphone / audio source it works just fine. I selected 2 because I wasn't sure which one was my microphone. Everything is working now. Thank you very much for your effort and support!

Have you contacted Balló György? What did they say? I want to use 3.1.0 (or newer) for the sake of Wayland. I use Manjaro, GNOME. Version 3.2.0 pre-Alpha has been released (https://linuxecke.volkoh.de/vokoscreen/vokoscreen-download.html). It does support Wayland on Manjaro, GNOME, but audio is not implemented. I am waiting for package update.

I mailed him on Wed, 19 Jan, 13:29 (6 days ago) but never got a reply. So I don't know what else to do. At this point I'm figuring out if I can compile and build it myself, but this doesn't help other users who have the same problem. I also could offer to maintain the package, but I really don't know how I could offer that since I don't know the bureaucracy.

Besides I'm really busy at the moment because next week I have 3 exams. I'm a student and I don't know if I have the time to maintain the package. Maybe I could do this between the blocks and semesters.

EDIT: Next week I will decide what to do. I'm too busy at the moment, but I'm sure someone needs to step up to properly maintain the package.
