"ttyASM0" Maybe it's spelled "ttyACM0" ? Do you have file permissions to that /dev/tty* file set correctly? bCNC should autodetect it... If not, you can enter manualy /dev/ttyACM0
. If it works, but is not autodetected, please let me know.
No ,it was because I needed a rule in the /lib/udev/rules.d file for avr usage. This came from openbuilds website. Also worked for rapsberry pi. Everyday is an education.

So just enter it manualy. But not just ttyASM0
you need to enter full path, eg.: /dev/ttyASM0
Can connect with arduino and universal gcode sender on ASM0. Tried entering same in the bCNC.ini file to no avail. Installed the bCNC according to the instructions on bCNC webpage. Always get somesort of no port found. Mint linux 18.3. All sorts of Python programs entered. Only tty which shows up is ttyASM0 , which both arduino and ugcs use. Thoughts?
