No login option on Windows version #2

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Load app from pictures menu
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should see a link to log in to Facebook in the upper right hand corner of 
screen. 

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Windows Alpha

It looks like if the platform is windows, os.startfile is called. 
This thread mentions that os.startfile is not reliable:
