We are currently building autonomous lawnmowers, for the communication between electronics we are using ROS. Apart from that we are also using the april_tag_ros package for the localization of the robot. Pose_base_controller for movement of the robot in free space. We will be also using it for the navigation stack which is still in R&D. We also build an entire robotic stack from scratch ie; OS and Compute hardware
I work as a robotics intern, we make Autonomy hardware and software with Sensor Suit that can be retrofitted with any vehicle and equipment to make them autonomous. It would be great if we could join the list of companies using ROS.
We are using ROS for hardware and web interface, will also be using for the nav stack
