User interface to modify trigger & job parameters #100

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
We'd like to use MySchedule to manage a remote instance and be able to update
the job & trigger configuration without to provide a configuration file.
Maybe I'll contribute some code but this solution is not yet validated (the dev
would start about 3-4 weeks from now).

Hello goux,

Sure, we welcome contribution. The easiest way maybe just for you to clone the
hg and share and review your changes. Let me know when you are ready.

Thanks,
Zemian

Sorry Zemian, the project has been cancelled. And I'm not motivated to do that
on my free time ;)

Hello, Zemian. Are you planning support user interface to create jobs and
triggers with parameters? Using load xml or scripting engine not such user
friendly.

Thanks,
Mike.

Yes I do. I plan to provide some basic forms so users can create job/trigger
more easily with built-in types from Quartz.

However, at the moment I am experimenting a complete new UI using Vaadin. I
want to add these new features after I get the new UI in.

I am about to release version 3 soon. I will not be adding any more new UI
functionality on the 3.0.0 cut.

On this particular enhancement, I would say that user custom trigger/job
parameters are better fitted to do inside the ScriptConsole. However I
understand with a UI would be easier, but the work would be a lot, and benefit
might not out weight it.
