Contribute to kubernetes-helm? #12

What do we think about moving this project to the kubernetes-helm incubator? I'd be happy to sponsor it.

Sounds good to me. We should get some feedback from helm community pro/against the CRD approach, but I don't see a problem with having that discussion in the context of a move to helm incubator...

Any update on this one? helm-crd looks promising but seems like abandoned now, an update could be helpful for others looking for such solution.

@bergerx This project and other similar ones were intended to help drive the discussion around the adoption of CRDs for the next major Helm version (Helm v3), and have succeeded in doing that. You can find the Helm 3 proposal here, where the plan is to move to CRDs for storing state. There is also a proposed controller in the scope, though this is still to be fleshed out.

Helm 3 is in active development, though work is very early on at this point. There is a dev branch where features are being worked on.

As we invest our efforts in Helm 3, I don't think this project will be developed further than the experimental state it is in now.
