The Apache HTTP Server project consists of the httpd server, as well as a number of add-in modules. The mod_fcgid module includes fcgi process pool management beyond the scope of mod_proxy_fcgi, and is worth integrating as an optional target.

@trawick is this still an interest of yours? Is mod_fcgid still popular and useful enough to add it to the catalog of binaries?
