Hi, Can you please provide more details on what exactly you are trying and what exactly is not working?

can not drop files from host to vm machine ,I am using server 2022 and host is ubuntu16 x86.

@avboy1337 What version of open-vm-tools do you have installed on your Ubuntu 16?

Please provide the output of "apt list --installed | grep open-vnm-tools". DnD from host to guest will have problems when using a Wayland client server.

What does the output of the follow show for the session type? loginctl loginctl show-session -p Type

Please capture the output of: ps -ef | grep vmtoolsd

If the session type is Wayland, please log out and log back in. Before entering your password using the setting to select and Worg or X11 display setting.
