I installed "Openvpn toggle for SBSettings" and follow the guide from:
http://chandraonline.net/blog/?p=22
to get the OpenVPN running, the setup is working and it add the device
ppp0 (instead of a tun devive) after open the VPN tunnel.
the VPN setup work, when I test it with some other SIP phone it work, but
not with siphon.

siphon do not use the interface ppp0 for sip,
OpenVPN Server (and SIP Server): 172.16.1.1
after entering the IP of the OpenVPN and SIP Server it can not connect to
the SIP Server, I do a ngrep on the SIP Server, but there comming no
package to the Server.

Is there a chance that Siphon will support such a setup in a future
release?

Did you look issue 225, issue 222, issue 195, issue 120?
Did you configure bound ip address in settings ?

I will automatize the selection in future version.

Hello, I have the same problem as guktek.
I am testing two OpenVPN solution for the iPhone: "Openvpn toggle for
SBSettings" and "GuizmOVPN".
Other applications, including VOIP with Fring, are working fine with this setup.

I host my own SIP server, but it is not receving packets from Siphon.
I tried to configure the Public IP and Bound IP options (looked into issue 225,
issue 222, issue 195, issue 120) with my own values, but it still does not
connect (see the attached log.txt file).
In the log file you will see my Public IP that starts with 94.247.xxx.xxx

I also did another test without configuring the "Public IP" and "Bound IP" in
Siphon settings, but using a STUN server instead (attached file "stun.log.txt").
As you can see in the log, the STUN resolution worked perfectly and the server
could identify my Public IP and local IP.
But also in this case the SIP connection is not created (no packets arriving to
the SIP server).

I am using Siphon version 2.3rc3
