libiberty-devel points to a dead distfile as well, which would be fixed by https://github.com/void-linux/void-packages/pull/41878

I think I missed some because they were in my local cache from earlier, I will make sure to clean it next time.

A couple of missing ones.

Concerning teams-bin, as far as I know, the program is being deprecated from microsoft in favor of a PWA under google chrome

xdm compiles fine for me. What's the issue with the distfile?

You might find some useful info for hunting these dead links in my #38555. I have already fixed some packages thanks to this in the past.

Would it be reasonable to remove packages that don't have any distfiles alive anymore, orphaned, not updated for 5+ years and are not a dependency of any other package?

The distfiles for the following packages are in fact reachable :

Moreover, the package libpurple-hangouts was removed (see #44406). I'll join the effort to fix the other distfiles' links.

bombadillo now works again. lxd could be migrated to incus. browsh i updated the distfiles.

multitail template release was removed from original place. On multitail github re-release of template version requires cmake>=3.6 so it's better to stick to cached distfile.

crawling repology and got this. there's like 273 more that their homepages marked dead are 'up' but that doesn't mean it's the same site anymore.
