Repo not found all of the sudden? #602

I'm suddenly getting

ERROR: [trans] failed to download kworkspace-6.1.5_1' signature fromhttps://repo-default.voidlinux.org/current/musl': Not Found Transaction failed! see above for errors.

I checked my repos and it all appears to be correct. What's going on? This just started happening this afternoon.

that's not the repo not being found, that's a signature file not being synced at the same moment as the related package. wait a bit and try again.

fearlessgeekmedia commented 1 month ago

Yeah missed that part of the message. Everything's good now.

This is what I get when running xbps-install -Syu:

[*] Updating repository `https://repo-fi.voidlinux.org/current/x86_64-repodata' ...
ERROR: [reposync] failed to fetch file `https://repo-fi.voidlinux.org/current/x86_64-repodata': Not Found

Later on I get the same error as OP but for a different package.

I can't access the repodata file from the browser either. Also tried switching mirrors but that was of no help either. This also just started happening now that I tried updating my system

it's a bug in the mirror syncing service. it's known but intermittent so very hard to debug.

also, this is the wrong repo for reporting mitror issues

fearlessgeekmedia commented 1 month ago

Cool, but where is the right place to report this so people will know for the future?
