Adding authentication #90

It would be great if there were an option to enable authentication before the gallery opens up. And to add the description for it in readme or somewhere else.

It looks like the plugin would need some refactoring to make adding authentication easier.

Following up on the conversations on gitter, it should be possible to start from a fork and tweak some of the components. Maybe these changes could be posted here in this issue for visibility?
